The National Weather Service has issued an alert for our area for extreme heat throughout this week. We should expect temperatures in the mid to upper 90?s with high humidity. Also, stay tuned to weather advisories as this heat can produce strong storms.
It is advised to have adequate supplies of water on hand to keep hydrated. Please be prepared to expect warmer than usual indoor temperatures as our systems strain to keep up with the demand.
Please do your part by reducing energy use in your areas wherever possible such as shutting off unnecessary lights, dialing back room air conditioners, etc.
