The Office of Technology Services plans to upgrade network equipment and services in several buildings during summer 2010. The OTS networking team has been working many months to prepare for this upgrade and wanted to share information with the campus community. Understanding the critical nature of the network for campus email and business operations, OTS is developing this upgrade plan with minimal downtime to campus users. The results of this upgrade will be a faster, more reliable campus network.
As the Towson University organization relies heavily on applications and processes that are accessed via the campus network, OTS understands the importance of such services to the end user. As the project implementation period draws near, OTS will periodically communicate information to include installation timelines, building outage schedules and any changes to current services that will impact the end user.
The network upgrade will take place in the following buildings (in calendar order). The day listed indicates data network services to be unavailable.
