This message only pertains to users running ANY Microsoft SQL datatbase on campus, or if you have plans to start any SQL environment in the next year. SQL is used to create, maintain and query relational databases.
The newly signed Microsoft software contract has significantly changed the licensing options for SQL, and there is a grace period to convert to the new contract FOR FREE. If you miss this deadline, the new costs could be very expensive depending on your local particulars.
