Towson University Winter Commencement will be held Thursday, December 18th and Friday,December 19th, 2014. There will be a 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. ceremony on December 18th and a 10:00 a.m. ceremony on December 19th. In order to successfully manage the traffic and parking demands associated with the ceremony, we ask that you follow the parking and traffic plans outlined below.
Parking & Traffic Information
All Towson Center lots are reserved for commencement use only. A Commencement permit, VIP permit, or a handicap placard/plate is required to gain access to the Towson Center Lots.
Those working in the area should see their supervisor about obtaining a commencement permit to access the area during these days. Please understand not all employees in the area will be able to park in the Towson Center lots. If you are unable to obtain a permit to access the area, please park at the Union garage and ride the shuttles that will be running back and forth between the Towson Center, Glen Garage and Union garage.
There will be absolutely NO drop-offs allowed at the Towson Center and/or Towson Arena. All guests who do not have a Commencement permit should park in the Union Garage. Shuttles will be provided to take guests from the Union Garage directly to the Towson Center.
Please expect heavy traffic throughout the day beginning at 8 a.m. For 10 a.m. ceremonies, lots will open at 8:00 a.m. For 3 p.m. ceremonies, Towson Center lots will be available at 1:00 p.m. Those who arrive before the parking lots are available may be redirected to the Union Garage. Your patience and cooperation is greatly appreciated.
