The Susquehanna Food Court in the University Union now features 90% compostable products! Working with the Office of Sustainability in an effort to reduce waste, we switched nearly all of our dining products to compostable alternatives–including the paper products, utensils and many of the Chick-Fil-A packages. New composting, recycling and trash containers have been installed in the Susq with openings sized appropriately for each item and signage to assist customers with the new sorting process.
Read the signage carefully to make sure you’re putting your compostable and recyclable items in the right place, then pat yourself on the back for doing something good for the environment!
