Hirschmann-McWilliams Award in Asian Studies

The Asian Studies program is proud to announce that Ms. Patricia Glinkowski is the winner of the 2013-14 Hirschmann-McWilliams Award in Asian Studies. Ms. Patricia Glinkowski is a May 2014 graduate with a B.A in History and an Asian Studies minor. Her paper for “EastCon,” a student conference on East Asian Culture at Princeton University, was recently accepted and she is now planning to attend graduate school.

In 2009, two former Towson University History Department professors, Edwin Hirschmann and Wayne McWilliams established, “this award goes to a graduating senior at Towson University in recognition of outstanding achievement in Asian Studies.” Each year, the winner is determined by a committee of Asian Studies faculty members within the College of Liberal Arts.
