OTS is making it easier for campus visitors to access TU’s wireless network. Currently, campus visitors need a faculty, staff or student sponsor in order to login to the “TUguest” network. This summer, the “TUguest” network will be retired and replaced with a new “TUopenaccess” wireless network that will no longer require users to have a sponsor, or to enter a username and password.
The “TUopenaccess” network will facilitate quick internet access for TU faculty, staff, students and guests. It’s intended for casual and guest use only; faculty, staff and students should use the “TUsecure” wireless network when connecting directly to campus systems or when a higher level of security is desired.
Questions about this wireless network project should be directed to Eric Cannizzo, Associate Director of Communication Services, at ecannizzo@towson.edu.
