Towson recycles, and you should too. Here’s how.

TU offers single stream recycling, which means nearly all recyclables can go in any recycling container on campus. As a reminder, here are the dos and don’ts of campus recycling:

Do:

  • Place paper, glass, plastic. aluminum and cardboard materials in any campus recycling container.
  • Recycle batteries and lightbulbs in the dedicated recycling bins located around campus.
  • Go here for a complete listing of items that can be placed in the containers.

Don’t:

  • Place mirrors, plastic bags, coat hangers, spiral-bound notebooks, or other household items in campus recycling bins.
  • Place food waste, yard material, liquids or other trash in recycling bins; this contaminates the recycling and may render it unusable.
