The TUPD Crime Prevention and Public Safety Fair

One of the top missions of the Towson University Police Department, is to reduce crime in and around campus. To help with this mission, TUPD officers educate, patrol, and enforce laws around Towson’s campus 24 hours a day, seven days a week. With October being National Crime Prevention Month, the Towson University Police Department will host its 1st Crime Prevention and Public Safety Fair event on Tuesday October 15, 2013, 11 a.m. -2 p.m., on the 2nd Floor Lobby of the University Union.

The Crime Prevention and Public Safety Fair is a great opportunity for the community to interact with law enforcement and public safety officials and learn how to prevent crime when out and about, at school or work, or in their home. The fair will feature a variety of interactive displays to teach the Towson community about bicycle safety, computer safety, vehicle safety, and personal safety/self defense.

Come and take a drive on a virtual DUI/Distracted Driver Simulator, receive bicycle repairs and locks, purchase LoJack security software for your laptops, learn about internet safety and scams, and meet the Baltimore County Police Department SWAT Team. There will be over 15 different vendors all offering different varieties on crime prevention.
