10,000 Steps to a Healthier You

The Healthy Campus Task Force invites you to get up and move!

Research and medical professionals recommend aiming to reach a goal of 10,000 steps a day to stay healthy.  Join us for a summer pilot program that will help get you up, motivated and moving!  Those who are interested will receive a starter pack which includes  a pedometer, water bottle, step tracking information and wellness information.  You will be encouraged to strive to hit the recommended goal of 10,000 steps per day.  Participants looking for extra motivation can sign up for the email blasts, which include different health and wellness information.  There will be organized walks which folks can take part in during their lunch hour and early evening.  The first organized walk will take place on July 10 at 12:30 p.m. and the second on July 11 at 5 p.m.*  This program is open to faculty, staff and students.
