Towson University has been selected to participate in the program “Assessment in Action: Academic Libraries and Student Success,” a program of the Association of College and Research Libraries National Leadership Demonstration Grant funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services. Part of ACRL’s Value of Academic Libraries initiative, Assessment in Action is being undertaken in partnership with the Association for Institutional Research (AIR) and the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU). The grant will support the design, implementation and evaluation of a program to strengthen the competencies of librarians in campus leadership and data-informed advocacy.
Towson is one of 75 institutional teams selected to participate in the first year of this assessment program. The teams, representing all types of institutions, come from 29 states and 3 Canadian provinces.
