Colette Fu: We are Tiger Dragon People
On view through Saturday, March 16
Center for the Arts Asian Arts Gallery
Dynamic and dangerous, Colette Fu’s action books combine photography and pop-up paper engineering. In 2008, Fu received a Fulbright Fellowship to photograph the 25 ethnic minorities of her mother’s hometown of Yunnan Province, China. She has turned many of these photographs into a series of collapsible art books that eliminate the boundaries between book, installation, photography, craft and sculpture. Guest Curator: Prof. Susan Isaacs.
