Towson University is currently participating in Recyclemania, a national recycling and waste reduction competition. From this week until April 5, Towson’s trash and recycling weights will be reported to the national Recyclemania website and Towson’s Go Green website. Recently, custodians have found trash in recycling bins all over campus. When trash is present in a recycling bin the entire contents of the bin must be dumped as trash. We ask that all students, staff and faculty be mindful of keeping trash out of the recycling bins and recyclables out of the trash bins. Towson’s single stream recycling system accepts all paper, plastic, aluminum, and glass together in the same bin. Food, liquid, paper towels and plastic bags should not be thrown in the Recycleall bins. Click here for recycling guidelines. Thank you for your cooperation and for helping Towson remain a steward of the environment!
