Samir S. Amr, MD, President of the International Academy of Pathology and Chairman of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at King Fahad Specialist Hospital in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, will present on the contributions that Arabic and Islamic culture have made to the field of medicine.

This program will also introduce the Bridging Cultures Bookshelf: Muslim Journeys, a collection of resources provided to Cook Library by the American Library Association and the National Endowment for the Humanities to familiarize the American public with Islam and the cultural heritage of Islamic civilizations around the world.
