The TUTORS Program has paid off-campus tutor positions available for students who would like to gain community service experience and make a difference in children’s lives.
Details:
• Earn $10 per hour for tutoring and travel time
• Tutor reading and math to students at Govans Elementary School,
• Assist teachers in kindergarten through 5th grade classrooms
• Spring 2013 term
• Morning and/or afternoon shifts Monday through Friday
• Govans is 2.5 miles south of the TU campus
Requirements:
• Must have a 2012-13 Federal Work-Study (FWS) financial aid award or be potentially eligible to receive one based on a completed 2012-2013 FAFSA and some demonstrated financial need.
• Enrolled in 6 or more spring 2013 units
• Must have received at least a 2.0 GPA for your last two completed terms
• Speak fluent English and have good grammar skills
• Use MTA or own transportation to the school
