A representative from the Boren Awards for International Study will host an information session on Monday, November 28 at 2:30 p.m. in the Union Loch Raven Room (room 204). Attendees will receive information about funding for undergraduate and graduate students as well as tips on submitting a competitive application.
Boren Awards provide a unique funding opportunity for U.S. students to study languages in various world regions (including Africa, Asia, Central & Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Latin America, and the Middle East). Boren Scholarships provide up to $20,000 to U.S. undergraduate students to study less commonly taught languages. Boren Fellowships allow graduate students to add an important international and language component to their graduate studies with up to $30,000 in funding.

For study in 2012-2013, the Towson campus application deadline for the Boren Scholarships (undergraduate) is December 15, 2011 and the application deadline for Boren Fellowships (graduate) is January 31, 2012.
