Praxis I Preparation Course to begin on February 21/ Scholarships Available for Elementary Education/Special Education (EESE) majors
The Maryland Writing Project will offer a Praxis Preparation course, beginning on February 21 and ending on March 15. The course consists of 6 classes: 4 offered on Thursday afternoons at Pikesville High School, and 2 offered in Linthicum Hall at Towson University on Saturdays. The classes are taught by Maryland Writing Project Teacher-Consultants and TU faculty members. Each six-class session provides support in reading, writing, grammar, and math and provides test-taking strategies as well. Classes are held on Thursday evenings from 4:30 – 7 at Pikesville High School and Saturday mornings from 9 – 11:30 at Towson University. Math preparation will be held on February 21 and 23, Reading on February 28 and March 6, and Writing/Grammar on March 13 and 15. The cost for all 6 classes is $250.00.

The Special Education Department is offering a limited number of scholarships for these classes for students planning to major in EESE. All pre-education majors are invited to participate in these classes. The scholarships, however, are limited to pre-EE/SE majors.
