Pacific Crossing–Yosuke Yamashita’s NY Trio with Kabuki musicians

In celebration of 150 years of US-Japan relations, internationally renowned pianist, Yosuke Yamashita, a household celebrity in Japan, leads his trio on a Pacific Crossing concert tour. In Pacific Crossing, Yosuke Yamashita and two of New York’s most distinctive, veteran sidemen–bassist Cecil McBee and drummer Pheeroan akLaff will be joined by two of Japan’s top Kabuki musicians–Meisho Tosha and Kiyohiko Semba in an electrifying medley that fuses jazz with traditional tunes.
