Modified Parking & Traffic Plan for Commencement Day
Please help us make our 2004 Commencement a successful and joyous occasion for our graduates, their families and friends. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
For Commencement Day, May 19, 2004, in order to successfully handle the traffic and parking demands associated with the ceremonies, we ask that you follow the revised parking and traffic plans outlined below.
Parking & Traffic Information
-Please avoid Cross Campus Drive and Osler Drive between 8:00a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
-The Glen Garage, Union Garage and Towson Center parking areas are reserved for commencement use only, and require a special commencement permit.
-Faculty and Staff should park in the following locations on the north and east sides of campus:
Towsontown Garage
Lots 9 and 11 ? adjacent to the Union
Lots 5 and 6 ? adjacent to Linthicum Hall
Lots 17 and 18 ? adjacent to Enrollment Services
Lots 1 and 2 ? adjacent to Stephens Hall
-Lots 24 and 24a ? adjacent to the Administration Building will be reserved for faculty and staff who will be participating in the ceremony.
-Lot 26 ? adjacent to the Glen Tower D, will be reserved for students moving out of the Glen Residence Halls.
Shuttle Information
-Regular shuttle routes will not be in operation
-Employee Shuttle: Lot 11 ? adjacent to the Union, for employees working at graduation
A shuttle will operate from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. to transport employees who are working at commencement or employees who work in the Towson Center area.
-Faculty Shuttle: Lot 23 ? adjacent to the Administration Building, for Faculty attending Commencement
A designated shuttle will run from lot 23 to Johnny Unitas? Stadium as follows:
-Morning Ceremony ? last bus will leave lot 23 at 8:45 a.m.
-Afternoon Ceremony ? last bus will leave Lot 23 at 2:45 p.m.
-Union and Glen Garages to the Towson Center area from stops on Cross Campus Drive
-Morning Ceremony ? Shuttle buses will run between both garages and Unitas Stadium from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
-Afternoon Ceremony ? Shuttle buses will run between both garages and Unitas Stadium from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and again after the ceremony
Please note: there will be no enforcement of permits or meter parking in areas not restricted for commencement or move out.
