“Tkuma: The Conflict” Film Series Presentation

Refugees and Citizens in Palestinian and Israeli film

A film series on the history of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict will take place during several Friday afternoon screenings at 2:00 pm (March 6, April 3 and April 17) in Linthicum room 200. Considering recent events in Gaza, this series will be both timely and informative. The program is open to all and students are encouraged to attend and discuss the films and the history of the conflict.

The second film titled, “Tkuma: The Conflict”, in the History Department’s film series, “Refugees and Citizens in Palestinian and Israeli films” begins on Friday, March 6, 2009 at 2:00 in LI 200.

This film discusses the rise of Zionist activity toward the end of the British mandate in Palestine, the establishment of the State of Israeli, and the history of the Arab-Israeli conflict after 1948.
