SOFTWARE TIP OF THE WEEK

Google Drive Student Collaboration

Google Drive (formerly Google Docs) has been enabled for Towson students.
Here is a list of Google Drive?s features:

? 5GB of storage space for any type of file
? The ability to store and share files with other TU students and anyone with a Google account.
? The ability for multiple people to work on the same document at the same time. It is a great time saver for group projects where it isn?t possible for everyone to meet at the same location.
? Apps are available for PC, Mac, Chrome, iPhone, iPad and Android

Important Information:
? TU labs will not install the apps because they are not suited for a lab environment. However, you may still access your Google Drive from Webmail (just click on the Documents link at the top of the page).
? This service is being provided to all students in addition to the 1GB of storage on webdisk.towson.edu, which is a separate service.

To get started with Google Drive, log in to your Webmail and click on the Documents link at the top of the page. More instructions can be found at {https://support.google.com/drive/?hl=en&p=web_home}.

If you have any further questions, contact Student Computing Services at x5151 (options 2, 1, 3), email us at {http://scs@towson.edu}, or visit us in Cook 35 (the SCS computer lab on the first floor).
