The Towson University community will gather on September 14 to celebrate the Inauguration of Dr. Maravene Loeschke as the university’s thirteenth president. In order to successfully manage the traffic and parking demands associated with the ceremony, we ask that you follow the parking and traffic plans outlined below.
PARKING & TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION
The following parking restrictions will be in place on September 14, 2012:
-Towson Center Lots 21 & 13 are reserved all day for event parking use only. A Faculty Inauguration event permit, Inauguration VIP permit, or a handicap placard/plate is required to gain access to these lots.
-Those with an Inauguration VIP permit who arrive prior to noon must park in lot 21b near the Child Care Center.
-Those with an Inauguration Faculty permit must park in lot 13.
-Those working in the area or attending classes will only be able to park in lots 19 and 14 until noon while space is available. In the event that space is not available or it is after noon, additional parking will be available in ?Commuter? spaces on the core campus or designated areas of the West Village garage where all permits are valid.
-After noon, only those with an Inauguration VIP or Inauguration Faculty event permit or those with handicapped permits/plates will be allowed in the Towson Center parking areas.
-Those attending the Inauguration or participating in the Inauguration who did not receive a VIP or Inauguration Faculty permit must park in an area where their regular parking permit is valid.
There will be NO drop-offs allowed at the Towson Center. All guests who do not have an Inauguration permit should park in the Union Garage. In addition to the Gold route shuttle, buses will be provided to take guests from the Union Garage directly to the Towson Center beginning at noon.
