Do you find that your scholarly writing time gets lost in the day-to-day demands of your teaching and service commitments? Did you plan to get your writing done over the winter break and are now waiting for spring break to get started?
We have formed a group of faculty across campus and across tenure-status to meet and establish personal writing goals and schedules, and then check in regularly to report on their progress. The group also reads each other?s manuscripts as necessary, but the main focus is to provide support for committing to a writing schedule and for not undermining the writing commitment by the other things that demand our day-to-day attention.
