In collaboration with the National Federation of the Blind, a team from Towson University is exploring how Braille reading compares to sighted reading. We are looking for people from a variety of professional and educational backgrounds to spend 60 minutes with us, reading and answering questions about four short stories, and completing a few literacy tasks. Sessions are completed individually and are scheduled to your convenience at TU. You will receive $25 for participating. Sorry – PhD faculty do not qualify for this study. Currently, we are looking for:
Females between the ages of 28-45 and 60-70 employed as managers or administrators including consultants, researchers, editors, medical professionals or lawyers.
Females between the ages 47-57 employed as educators or technology specialists.
Females between the ages of 41-66 employed in retail or customer service positions.
Males between the ages of 38-48 employed as managers or administrators including consultants, researchers, editors, medical professionals or lawyers.
Males between the ages of 24-34 and 52-62 employed as educators or technology specialists.
