SWIMMING AND DIVING: Meredith Budner Named National Swimmer of the Week; Four Tigers Headed to NCAA Championships

After winning their fourth straight Colonial Athletic Association women’s swimming and diving championship, the Tigers will have four swimmers compete at the 2011 NCAA Division I Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships, which will be held March 17-19 at the University of Texas.

Senior Meredith Budner, Brooke Golden and Kayla Zeller along with junior Cari Czarnecki will be representing Towson at the three-day meet.

In addition, Budner was named as the Counsilman-Hunsaker NCAA Division I Women’s Swimmer of the Week by CollegeSwimming.com on Wednesday after winning three individual events along with helping Towson win three relay events.
