Mid-Atlantic CIO Forum to Offer Scholarship for Fall 2006

In August 2003, Towson University entered into a partnership with information technology executives in the Mid-Atlantic region to form the Mid-Atlantic CIO Forum. The Forum is designed to foster excellence in business and information technology in an environment that promotes educational and networking opportunities for CIOs facing similar challenges and issues. CIOs participate with peers to share information and experiences, and to exchange best practices in peer-to-peer discussion sessions.

The Mid-Atlantic CIO Forum has announced their intention of providing a scholarship for up to $5000 for the Fall 2006 semester. Criteria for successful candidates would be full-time undergraduate status studying Computer Information Sciences or Business and Economics. Candidates must have and maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher and be entering or in their junior or senior year of study. Those interested applicants meeting the above criteria will be required to submit a 500 word written statement expressing their goals as well as why the student feels he/she should be considered for this award.

Application deadline is April 28, 2006. Application materials can be obtained by contacting Sarah Blake in the Division of Economic and Community Outreach at (410) 704-3281 or by email at {sblake@towson.edu}
