Tiger Athletes To Participate In 7th Annual Pigskin Pass

For the seventh year in a row, Towson Universitty student-athletes will be participating in the annual Pigskin Pass, a collaborative effort with the University of Delaware to raise money for Special Olympics Programs in Maryland and Delaware.
On Friday, November 2, the Tigers will be carrying a ceremonial football from Unitas Stadium starting at noon, and run half the 58 mile distance to the University of Delaware.
There will be a hand-off ceremony with our mascot Doc handing the football off to Delaware’s mascot YouDee at Festival Park in Aberdeen at approximately 5 p.m.

On Saturday morning, the Blue Hens from Delaware will run the ball the remaining distance to Delaware Stadium before the noon kickoff of the Towson-Delaware football game.

There will be a check presentation to Special Olympics athletes from both states between the first and second quarter of the game.
