Start the new year off right by learning more about yourself, making new friends, setting higher goals and attaining them as you cross the finish line of the 3rd Annual LEADStrong Half Marathon being held Saturday, May 5, 2007. Last year we had 140 runners cross the finish line of this exciting 13.1 mile race. This leadership focused race includes a 12-week training program, peer running groups, a motivational leadership speaker track and of course free food and giveaways!
To learn more about this opportunity, plan to attend one of four 30 minute information sessions scheduled as follows:
Tuesday, February 6th at noon and again at 12:30 p.m., University Union, Room 306
Thursday, February 8th at 1 p.m. and again at 1:30 p.m., University Union, Room 307
Sessions will provide training schedules as well as other important information about the race and training. If you can’t make the info sessions, please stop by the Office of Student Activities in the University Union, Room 217, or e-mail Rachel Repp at {rrepp@towson.edu} to find out how to get involved.
Training officially starts on Sunday, February 11th. We encourage participants to have a 3 mile base before this date or be at a strong cardiovascular fitness level.
