Join the Maryland Arts Festival in its final week of performances for the 2004 season as we present three diverse and outstanding performances by nationally recognized organizations.
Thursday, July 29 at 8:00 p.m. – The nationally acclaimed political satire group Capitol Steps returns to Towson University for ONE NIGHT ONLY at Stephens Hall.
Saturday, July 31 at 8:00 p.m. – Footworks Percussive Dance Ensemble make their Maryland Arts Festival debut as they perform Incredible Feets. Like the cast of Riverdance, Footworks tap, clog and hoof their way through the history of percussive dance in America with humor and a dazzling display of percussive dance styles. Footworks is accompanied by band of professional musicians performing on-stage with the dancers.
Sunday, August 1 at 3:00 p.m. – Maryland Arts Festival concludes the 2004 season with a Tribute to Duke Ellington presented by The Brooks Tegler Orchestra. A big band par excellence, you’ll want to be sure to catch the “A-Train” to Stephens Hall on Sunday afternoon to enjoy this extraordinary concert devoted to the musical genius of America’s greatest big band composer and performer.
All three performances take place in Stephens Hall Theatre. Black and Gold Catering will provide a cash bar and food service before and during all shows.
