Congressman Cardin and College of Education to Host Web Resources Forum

In an effort to help teachers navigate their way through the vast and daunting array of federal Web-based resources, U.S. Rep. Benjamin L. Cardin and TU’s College of Education will host a forum to help teachers.

U.S. Rep. Cardin will speak about the Master Teachers’ Bill and
E-Rate. Also presenting will be:

Meredith Peterson, reference librarian, Congressional Research Service, Library of Congress
Tom Proffitt, acting dean, College of Education
Paul Jones, chairperson, Department of Reading, Special Education and Instructional Technology
Tricia Ryan, lecturer, Department of Reading, Special Education and Instructional Technology.

Among the 12 exhibitors will be the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Aquarium in Baltimore, Smithsonian Institution Center for Education and Museum Studies, Space Telescope Science Institute and Patuxent National Wildlife Center.
