Illumination: Master works from the Harryette and Otis M. Robertson collection of African American Art.

Passionate fine art patrons for more than 25 years, the Robertsons have amassed an enviable collection of original works by the likes of master artists Jacob Lawrence, Elizabeth Catlett, Romare Bearden, Sam Gilliam, Richard Hunt and many other notable contemporary African American Artists. Dozens of works on paper as well as original canvases will be on view celebrating the black aesthetic along with the achievement of this insightful couple. Towson University is proud to be hosting their inaugural public exhibition. Guest curator is A. M. Weaver of the the Noyes Museum, New Jersey. The exhibit is in honor of the Martin Luther King, jr.
