Have you lost someone close to you? Grieving is a natural process, and individuals experience grief and loss in different ways. It can be helpful to share your experience with others who have been affected by the death of a significant person. Consider joining the Grief and Loss workshop series/support group at the Counseling Center. The format is flexible, but each session typically includes an informal presentation and discussion about a particular topic (e.g., facts/myths about grieving, frustration with the lack of social support, cultural and spiritual aspects of grief, traumatic grief, etc.), a coping strategy, and a chance to learn about area resources.
The group will be held on Thursdays at 2pm in the Spring 2012 semester, starting as soon as we have enough members. The 1-hour group sessions are FREE and confidential. TU undergraduate and graduate students are welcome.
