The Tigers continue CAA play with their second road game this week as they travel to Hempstead, N.Y. to take on the Pride of Hofstra. The game will be televised on Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic. Tip-off is set for Noon.
Sophomore forward Robert Nwankwo is coming off a career day as he led Towson with a balanced effort agaisnt the Monarchs on Tuesday evening. He matched his career high with 13 points and grabbed a career high 13 rebounds in registering his first collegiate double-double. He also matched his career high with five blocks. Sophomore forward Jarrel Smith finished with 14 points while freshman guard Troy Franklin added 12 points and five steals.
Tigers will have revenge on their mind as the Pride stole one from the Tigers at the Towson Center earlier this season. Junior guard Josh Thornton will be anxious to see Hofstra again as he had 20 points in the loss, hitting six of ten from beyond the arc. Franklin was just shy of a double-double that game with 13 points and nine assists.
