Go to Vietnam this summer while earning credit! On Monday, February 9 at 12:30 p.m. come to the University Union room 306 to hear about the study abroad program ?Interpretive Problems in History: The Vietnam War.? Led by TU history professor Dr. Robert Rook from May 23 – June 10, 2009, this course will explore the multiple facets of Vietnam’s history of war throughout the 20th century. Students will spend time in Ho Chi Minh City, Hoi An, Da Nang, Hanoi, Hue and more. The program also features a variety of academic and cultural visits including the Presidential Palace and War Museum, the Museum of Military history, the DMZ, the Mekong Delta, and Long Xuyen floating market. The course is open to all interested parties but must be taken for credit. Honors credit is available and students may apply for study abroad scholarships. The application deadline is March 15, 2009 and admission is on a rolling basis, so early application is advised.
