Towson University Athletics announces a “Gold Rush” for this Saturday’s game against No. 6 New Hampshire at Unitas Stadium, in one of the Colonial Athletic Associations Football Conference’s Television Games of the Week.
Similar to the successful Towson basketball promotion “black out,” fans are asked to wear gold to the game in order to paint the stands into a sea of gold to support the Towson Tigers football team in their Colonial Athletic Association Conference opener for the 2009 season.
Towson University football wants to see a “Gold Rush” in the stands on this televised game that will be seen throughout the regional broadcasting area for Comcast Sportsnet.
In conjunction with the “Gold Rush” if you are one of the first 1,000 fans in the stands, you will receive a free “Gold Rush” T-shirt courtesy of the University Store. All Towson University students also have a special promotion. The first 1,000 students in the stands will also receive a Towson Tigers visor courtesy of Towson Place Apartments.
This Saturday’s game is Family Weekend, and tickets are still available through the Towson University ticket office, located on the first floor of the University Union. All Towson faculty and staff receive one free ticket to the game.
