This email is a type of spam requesting that you visit a link to verify your account.

Do NOT do this!

This email is an attempt (called “phishing”) by someone to gain access to your personal information. The “From” address is forged (or “spoofed”) and may or may not be an actual email address, but it is not where the email actually originated.

If you responded to such a message with your password, please notify the Office of Technology Services and change your password immediately. Also, DELETE the phishing message ? do not reply to it for any reason.

Finally, there’s no need to contact OTS every time you receive a phishing message; the messages reach OTS staff inboxes too, so they are aware of them. You may contact the OTS Help Center to verify or disprove any such e-mails you might receive.

Remember: NEVER send passwords via e-mail. TU?s Office of Technology Services staff will never ask for your password.
