SOFTWARE TIP OF THE WEEK:

Outlook 2010: Requesting a Read Receipt

A read receipt will tell the sender when the email was opened, but receivers are not required to send back a receipt. This tool is effective when sending important information and should be of limited use so that your recipients return the receipt instead of ignoring the prompt.

To add a read receipt:

1) Open a new message and click on the Options tab.
2) Click the box next to Request a Read Receipt.

You will receive an email in your inbox if the receiver opts to send back a receipt.
