The USM Board of Regents has declared December 24, 2012 an official system-wide holiday. December 24 was originally scheduled as the first of our three 2012 University Holidays. Accordingly, this afternoon the President’s Council decided to officially close the University on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 and grant an additional holiday.
Timesheets for all regular, non-facilities/police staff, 12-month faculty, librarians and contingent-II staff will therefore reflect the additional USM holiday. Facilities and Police staff employees will be given an additional holiday which will be reflected on their leave statement for pay period ending November 27, 2012. Also, employees that are not normally scheduled to work on that day should manually delete those holiday hours which can then be used before January 8, 2013, with supervisory approval. Other non-facilities/police employees who must work on that day should also manually delete those holiday hours for use before January 8, 2013, with supervisory approval.
Questions should be directed to Cheryl Harris (x4-6022, charris@towson.edu) or Dave Curtis (x4-6018, dcurtis@towson.edu).
