OTS is performing the final acceptance testing on the new phone system between 5 a.m. and noon on Sunday, Sept. 9. During that time, you may periodically be unable to place or receive calls for short periods of time. This testing is to ensure the reliability of the new phone system.
If there is an emergency during this time period, please call 911 as usual. In the unlikely event that your call does not go through, you should immediately retry your call as phone disruptions should be very short. Additionally, you can dial 911 from your cellular phone. Cellular service will not be disrupted by this testing.
When maintenance is complete, a post will be made to the OTS alerts website {http://alerts.towson.edu}. (Keep in mind that due to the nature of the maintenance, the website will not be available during that time.)
As a reminder, the Office of Technology Services? maintenance window is every Sunday from 6 a.m. to noon. This maintenance window will begin one hour early in order to accommodate campus events beginning early Sunday morning. Faculty and users are advised to keep this maintenance window in mind when planning events, assignments and deadlines.
If you have any questions about the outage, please contact the OTS Help Center at x4-5151.
