“Illumination: Master Works from the Harryette and Otis M. Robertson Collection of African American Art.” A “must-see” exhibition of outstanding original art from noteworthy artists of African descent. Glenn McNatt – Sun Newspaper Art Critic, in a recent article, deemed “this inaugural exhibition a significant event and well worth seeing.” Included in the exhibition are works by master artists Jacob Lawrence, Elizabeth Catlett, Romare Bearden, Sam Gilliam, Richard Hunt, Charles Burwell, Barbara Chase-Riboud and many others.

The exhibit is in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., presented by Towson University’s African American Cultural Center, the College of Fine Arts and Communication and the Department of Art.
