The Chesapeake Bay is one of our most important natural resources. But it needs our help to help to get cleaned up so it can remain a vital part of our Maryland heritage. This year WTMD is joining Maryland Public Television for their week long Chesapeake Bay Week.
Tune into MPT the week of April 10 for some very special programming examining the Chesapeake Watershed: its people, its environment and what we can do to preserve this treasure.
On Sunday April 17 at 6 pm WTMD will simulcast MPT’s volunteer-a-thon when you will have the opportunity to commit some of our valuable time to one of the agencies helping the Bay get healthier and cleaner for generations to come. General Manager Steve Yasko will be making a guest appearance.
WTMD would like to encourage everyone in the Towson University community to donate a few hours to help make the Bay a healthier ecosystem. Visit {http://www.mpt.org/bayweek} to sign up and volunteer for the bay.
