SOFTWARE TIP OF THE WEEK

Outlook 2010 Using Out of Office Assistant

The holidays are upon us and you may find yourself out of the office over the next few weeks. The Out of Office Assistant sends an automatic response to any messages you receive while you are away.

1) Click the File tab on the Ribbon. Click the Automatic Replies button. The Out of Office Assistant dialog box appears.
2) Click the Send automatic replies option. Optional: Click the Only send during this time range to specify the time range to which you want the messages to be replied. If you don?t specify a time range, the automatic replies will begin immediately upon closing the dialog box.
3) Enter the text that will appear in your auto-reply. Type your entry on the Inside My Organization and/or Outside my Organization tab. You can have different away messages for Inside and Outside of your organization. Click OK. The automated responses will begin when Outlook is closed.
