I am pleased to announce that Lucy Light Slaich has joined Towson University as Director of Procurement, where she will lead and manage the acquisition of over $60 million in goods and services each year. A 1978 graduate of Towson, Ms. Slaich is a Certified Public Purchasing Officer (CPPO) and Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.), and holds an M.S. in Contract and Acquisition Management from Florida Tech, as well as a J.D. from UB School of Law.
Prior to joining us, Ms. Slaich was Director of Procurement for the MD Department of Housing & Community Development. Previously, she managed purchasing for Harford and Baltimore counties, and was assistant director of procurement for USM?s College Park campus.
Ms. Slaich is a native of Bel Air, and a lifelong resident of Harford County; she currently resides in Forest Hill with her husband and son.
