A&F Division Announces Major Organizational Changes

Office of Technology Services
Jeffrey Schmidt has been appointed Acting Chief Information Officer effective immediately. No one has been solely devoted to the position for the last few years, during which time its importance has become increasingly critical to the university?s overall success. Jeff, who has more than 15 years experience at Towson University, will provide much needed leadership to all aspects of technology on campus. He will continue to report to Interim Vice President and CFO Alan M. Leberknight.

Procurement
Peggy O?Connell, Director of Procurement, will retire effective October 1, 2005, after providing 30 years of service to the State of Maryland, including nine years to Towson University. Jeffrey Sutton, currently an Assistant Director in the Procurement Department, has been appointed Acting Director of Procurement. With nine years experience, Jeff brings with him a wealth of knowledge and hands-on skill. He will report to Assistant Vice President for Financial and Procurement Services Craig Bowen.

University Budget Office
Ed Quinn, Director of the University Budget Office, will retire effective October 1, 2005, after serving the State of Maryland for more than 32 years. He served Towson University for four years, both beginning and ending his career at the university. Cathy Mattingly, currently a University Budget Coordinator, has been appointed Acting Director of the University Budget Office. Cathy?s 27 years experience with Towson University has given her a comprehensive understanding of the university?s budget and will serve her well in her new responsibilities. She will report to Interim Vice President and CFO Alan M. Leberknight.
