This email is a type of spam, requesting that you visit a link to verify your account.

Do NOT do this!

This e-mail is an attempt (called “phishing”) by someone to gain access to personal information. The “From” address is forged (or “spoofed”) and may or may not be an actual e-mail address, but it is not where the e-mail actually originated.

If you responded to such a message with your password, please notify the OTS Faculty/Staff Help Center at 410-704-5151, and go to the OTS Faculty/Staff Help Center website and change your password immediately. Also: DELETE the phishing message?do not reply to it for any reason.

Finally, there’s no need to contact OTS every time you receive a phishing message; the messages reach OTS staff inboxes, too, so they are aware of them. You may contact the OTS Help Center to verify or disprove any such e-mails you might receive.

Remember: NEVER send passwords via e-mail. TU?s Office of Technology Services staff will never ask for your password.
