An update needed for our Oracle database server currently hosting the Blackboard environment will require us to extend the standard Tuesday downtime (2:55 a.m. through 5 a.m.) usually used for full backup of the Blackboard system an additional three hours.
This update is needed to maintain optimal performance on Towson University’s Blackboard environment.
The date of this service outage during spring break was selected to minimize the impact on the faculty and students.
From 2:55 a.m., Tuesday, March 21 through 8 a.m., Tuesday, March 21, the entire Blackboard system will be unavailable to all faculty, students and staff. Please be sure to complete your work and log off prior to 2:55 a.m. to avoid loss of work or data.
