Igor Stravinsky’s dramatic musical masterpiece, L’Histoire du Soldat (The Soldiers Tale). Composed in 1918 with playwright C.F. Ramuz, it is a timeless tale of good versus evil. Stravinsky’s music is influenced by both classical and popular idioms, and he incorporated a myriad of styles from classical, ragtime, and jazz to tell his story of hope and redemption.
