Upcoming Upgrade to Outlook Web Access

Outlook Web Access ({http://outlook.towson.edu}) will be upgraded the week of September 12-16. The new Outlook Web Access will feature an improved interface which looks and behaves more like the Outlook 2003 client on most campus systems.

This information pertains only to those faculty and staff members who use a Web browser to go to Outlook Web Access from off-campus locations. Upgrades to Microsoft Outlook on campus-based computer systems will be addressed in future communications.

When opening the new Outlook Web Access using Internet Explorer, you will have the ability to:

– Configure basic rules
– Work with tasks
– See message lists in new views
– Configure display settings and read receipt options
– Drag-and-drop messages
– Be alerted when new mail has arrived
– Work with message flags

Training documentation, with screenshots of the new Outlook Web Access, is available at {http://wwwnew.towson.edu/adminfinance/ots/training/techdocs.asp#OWA}.
