In preparation for Towson University?s home opener against Morgan State University on Thursday, September 1 at 7:00 p.m., be aware that TU is implementing modifications to the Tailgating Policy.
For the Morgan State game only, student tailgating is designated in Lot 21. Persons who are 21 years of age and who intend to drink alcoholic beverages are encouraged to acquire a wrist band from a designated university official and to wear it while in the tailgating area. This allows University personnel and police to easily identify your eligibility to consume alcohol.

We will be hosting a Boardwalk Bear-B-Q in Lot 21 from 4:00 ? 6:30 p.m. Meal equivalent for students on meal plan with valid TU OneCard; $5.00 with valid TU OneCard for non-meal plan participants.

Policies & Guidelines
Towson University recognizes that athletic events can be an important component of the University experience. We support game day activities that build community and offer an opportunity for social interaction in the support of athletic events. The following policies and guidelines are designed to clarify individual responsibilities.
Policies:
1. All state and local laws and University Policies are in effect during tailgating. Consistent with these, it is prohibited for a person under the age of 21 years to purchase, possess, consume, transport, or store alcoholic beverages.
2. It is also prohibited for any person or group to purchase or give alcoholic beverages to a person under 21 years of age.
3. The consumption of alcoholic beverages by those of age is only permitted in designated tailgating areas. State law and university policy prohibit public consumption of alcoholic beverages or possession of open containers of alcohol in public places.
4. All alcoholic beverages must be in plastic or paper cups. Open alcoholic beverage containers are prohibited.
5. General admission tailgating is located in designated parking lot(s) near Johnny Unitas Stadium only. Tailgating is prohibited in any other area.
6. Tailgating is permitted up to three (3) hours before game time and ends when the game begins.
