Updates and upcoming milestones for active TU construction projects are listed below. For more information, visit the TU construction page.
The interior construction for the Burdick Hall is ongoing, and the renovated building is scheduled to be opened by late fall 2017. Burdick Hall remains open and is accessible through the entrance off of University Avenue.
The construction of a wider Glen Bridge is continuing and expected to be completed by late August 2017.
The interior renovations and exterior framing for this building is ongoing. The project will be open for the spring 2018 semester.
The New Science Building
The construction of the new science building will begin in late fall 2017 and is expected to be complete by August 2020.
Osler Bridge Work
Over the next four weeks, crews will be working to install lighting for the Towson University letters on the Osler Bridge. The letters will be taken down in late July and reinstalled in late August. The bridge and roadway will remain open during the work.
Hawkins Hall Interior and Window Renovations
New ceilings, lighting, doors, bathrooms, sprinkler systems and windows are about 75% complete with all work expected to be finished before the fall 2017 semester.
The installation of a new bathroom and HVAC system in the Pavilion are 75% complete, as is the flooring and bathroom in the Auburn House. All work is expected to be complete by late August 2017.
Union Garage Stair Replacement
The replacement of the south staircase of the Union Garage, which had been closed to pedestrians since June, is still underway. This staircase is expected to be complete and ready for use by the end of summer 2017.
